Local Footballer Switches Sports In Charity Challenge
Local footballer Ian Drewitt has switched sports in a fund raising challenge that will see him cycle and run a total of 153 miles over three days. The first two days will include a 30 mile run and a 30 mile bike rode, the final 33 miles being covered on foot on the final day.
Ian will be raising money for Nuneaton's Mary Ann Evans Hospice, which offers hospice care for people in Northern Warwickshire and surrounding areas. It is a cause which is close to Ian's heart and has been since he first moved to the area in 1995.
"Having seen the work that they carry out at the Hospice, I have no doubt that when the going gets tough on the run/bike, the people that work there and the people I have met that were patients, will inspire me to carry on going."
