180 Years of Running Experience Available at Coventry Runner 'Tech Day'

Maybe you are looking to train for a marathon, run your best ever half marathon or perhaps set a new personal best for 10K. Alternatively you might be just starting out and need to ask a few questions or gain a few tips.

Whatever your goal, a visit to Coventry Runner's 'Tech Day' this Saturday 15th September 2012 will help you achieve it because 180 years of running experience will be available to answer questions, offer advice or just have a chat about any aspect of your running.

Among those in store this weekend will be:

Dave Dix - As well as being a UKA Level 3 Performance Coach,  member of the England Athletics National Coach Mentor programme and former UK Athletics Performance Programme Manager, Dave has many years of experience both as a competitive runner and middle and long distance coach. Having coached several of Coventry's top distance runners in recent years and mentored coaches from many local clubs, he is fully qualified and able to offer excellent advice and guidance.

Bernard Gaffney - During more than 25 years of competitive running, Bernard has run at a high level on road, track and cross country. With a Marathon PB below 2 hours 30 mins, a half-marathon PB of sub-70 mins,  a degree in Sports Science and a Personal Trainer qualification, he is ready and able to advise on how to progress and improve your running.

Martin Slevin - Having run since the age of 10 at club and county standard and over every distance and surface, Martin has a wealth of knowledge and experience. He is also a fully qualified Sports Masseur and will be available to discuss and advise on any injury concerns. Martin will also be offering sports massage taster sessions throughout the day.

Alongside these special guests, Coventry Runner's regular staff, with a combined running 'life' of 75 years, will also be on hand to advise, guide and do all the other things that are part of its award winning customer service.

To add to the buzz of the day there'll be lots of special offers,  a few surprise free gifts, courtesy of Asics, Mizuno, Nike and Ron Hill, Coventry Runner's gait analysis service and lots of tea, coffee and maybe some biscuits!

The Coventry Runner 'Tech Day' starts at 10am. We hope you can join us because, as always, if you love to run you'll love our shop.
