Local Races at Christmas and New Year

Plenty of opportunities to stay race sharp over the Christmas and New Year period:

Massey Runners Christmas Pace Race - War Memorial Park, Wednesday 28th December at 11 a.m.

Something different in the local race calender and taking place over a 3.55 mile course, starting at the Park and Ride Car Park on Kenilworth Road.
Sponsored by Coventry Runner, the race is intended to be quite informal and is not a traditional race, where the first over the line is the winner. Instead runners predict their actual running time and the closest to this time is the winner. Easy you may think except that all stop watches, clocks or sun-dials and other timing devices are strictly prohibited during the race!
The race has taken place for a number of years and has grown in popularity with many seeing it as an ideal way to run off Christmas excesses.

Coventry Godiva New Year 5 - University of Warwick, Monday 2nd January at 11 a.m.

Entries are flying in Godiva's popular New Year 5 road race. Sponsored by Coventry Runner and NP Aerospace, this years race takes place on Monday 2nd January 2012 on the usual traffic free, flat and fast course around Warwick University campus.
